Pi outage
Unfortunately here is nothing to report on the house progress today.
This last week was very hot in the Bay Area. This caused my solar powered, passive cooled Raspberry Pi 3 B to over heat. This caused the SD card to go into read only mode with a “Dirty Bit” that I could not change back to read/write. After several days and attempts to rescue the SD card from near death, I was unsuccessful. The only solution I could find that worked was to make an image of the SD card and write the image to a new SD card.
I also moved the PI into a fully passive giant heat sink case from Mecatronics even with 98 degree heat here, the CPU stayed at a nice 55 degree C , well within the limits of the CPU and device operating temps. Looking forward to years of more reliable site hosting on this little wonder machine.
